Looking on the internet at used bikes today and came across an Olive Green and Vivid Black 2018 Road King. Usually I dont care for most greens bikes especially olive green. However it was very retro looking which is a look that I kind of like. Ive seen the olive color in Harley shops, however I rarely see them out riding or at various bike events. Are these bikes rare or once people buy them they never sell them? Black and Olive Green is very unique.
You don't see many green bikes because green was always considered bad luck on a Harley, probably from the WWII military bikes. IMO when Harley came out with the drab olive and star gimmick it was a sad attempt at copying the old Army WLA's.

Never knew that. Love my Kinetic Green Road Glide (and my Deep Jade Pearl SG before that was beautiful also).

I remember hearing that "bad luck" stuff years ago. But, some of the green bikes out now are just beautiful.

The used to say it about race cars too. Yep, probably superstition. Over the years I've only known two people who owned green bikes. One guy crashed his twice and the other guy's bike caught fire. Superstition? Probably but I'll believe it until the day I die.

I bought a green bike once. Guy who owned it was killed in the 6-day war & bought it off his brother.
Throttle stuck WFO once & then unstuck. Spooked me & I traded it shortly afterwards, for a red & white Yammy 650.
