I am having an issue with the bike running very rough and back firing after it has been rode for 2 hrs and restarted. When cold it seems to run fine but after riding for 2 hrs. Shutting it off and restarting. It runs terrible. I took it to the dealer ,the dynaed it found no issues. Can anyone help or anyone else have this issue. Thanks for any help
Did your bike throw any codes ? Your saying that after a couple of hours it runs great until you shut it down , and when you restart it , it runs rough and will continue to run rough until you let it cool down . Then the process starts over again ?
Check the connectors at the fuel injectors . Could be a broken wire inside the insulation or poor pin inside the connector itself , when the temp rises the problem occurs causing an intermittent issue . This problem happened to me on a previous bike .
An old school way of checking the injectors would be to run the bike when it's running poorly and push a long screwdriver up against the injector and with your ear at the other end you should be able to hear a solid steady clicking noise .
There could be other things that would cause this issue but it's a start ... Does sound like a wiring issue . Check all your battery cables , both ends , fuses for corrosion and any other connectors etc .
