I recently purchased a 2015 Heritage Classic with 2000 miles and would like opinions on if I should change any fluids. The local dealer said no, but 5 years seems like a long time to have the same fluids.
As the story goes, oil left in engines extended period will cause corrosion to metals. I saw studies where that isn't so to any measurable degree. So... do what make you sleep good at night.

Would you leave 5yr old oil in you car or truck?....I think the answer is pretty obvious, just saying.
It's my standard operating procedure for any used item I buy with an engine, be it a vehicle, bike or lawnmower
20-30 minutes and $20-$30 bukz is cheap piece of mind to me .

Has the bike been serviced since 2015,,, the 1000 mile service???.... Maybe the fluids were change a week ago More info please!
