stop in at any harley dealership they will be able to tell you what you need to know or maby its in the owners book.

take the fob away from the bike (at least 50 feet ) Install the battery and then try it.

Might want to make sure the battery is in right. know a guy that put it in wrong. swore up and down it was right. turned it over and it worked it happens.

No. You have to have the fob with you to reset the pin to a different number. Supposedly a thief wouldn't have the fob.

and if he did have the fob, there would be no need for him to change the pin to steal it.
