Im looking for a good book on Harley's that gives me as much info as possible on the range of models over the history of Harley as thourough as you can get, such as tech changes over the years and info on the various engines different updates ect.
I have already got the Encyclopedia of the Harley Davidson by Henshaw & Kerr. And thats pretty good as it has a year by year of the models and a full list of the designations. But it is pretty thin on in depth details. Any suggestions as to what to look for are welcome.
you might want to check "the harley davidson century"
I own several harley books and by far this is the most compreensive and well-written book I have here....and it's also written by the top motorcycle journalists.
Friend gave me Harley Davidson Photographic History book, by Wolfgang Wiesner the other day to look thru; when I opened it, I dicovered it was autographed To the author, From Willie G & what loooks to be Taylor Beil (???Waiting to hear back from him as to who the other name is.. ) He'd picked the book up in Sturgis many years ago... Very interesting reading
Go take a trip to Leeds,Alabama to the Barber motorsports museum. I'd do it during the week if you want to beat the crowd. They have more bikes from 1902 to present than you could imagine. It is floors and floors of bikes. It is well worth yer time, Promise !

likely increase in value on a 5 star basis, It has a lot of pictures

It has a forward by Dr. Martin Jack Roseblum, historian of the MoCo.
