I remember seeing seeing an interview with Henry Winkler (aka "Fonzie") describing how he was terrified of motorcycles in real life...always thought that was kinda funny.

Actually, I read somewhere that Norris was a member of an auxillary Ranger service of some sort, and that part of the duties was to be on hand (active) for regular duties.
