McCormick SC. Named after Cyrus McCormick. The town was built on a gold mine. Gold mining was done in a large pece of land as recent as 2010. There is an annual festival around the 1st of September called "Gold Rush Festival" that attracts people from all over. They used to do mine tours and panning for gold but I'm not sure if they still do it.
