Default why $5500 difference?

where's the $5500 difference at in a Low Rider and Breakout?
other than 107 vs 114, where's the rest of the cost in parts to build each?

thanks

i'm sure that a lot of that cost is in 'unseen' territory. the breakout has a 240 rear wheel, while the low rider has a 180. so you aren't going to be able to sandwich a 240 on your lowrider without some major mods. there is also an updated gauge package on the breakout vs the lr. 21 inch front wheel, vs 19 inch, and the wheels themselves are updated as well. not to mention the high flow air cleaner vs the stock. and the blacked out bits vs chrome. i know, i know, chrome is better. but not everyone thinks so, and someone is going to spend a lot to black out their low rider.

do those things make it worth over $5g? maybe not to you, but to someone else it might. won't be me either. but that's the way the moco prices stuff. so you don't need to tell me that it doesn't cost that much to mfg a wider swingarm for the breakout than the lr, etc. it is what it is.

Value is in the eye of the beholder.

A Harley Low Rider is $15,300 if you get a color other than black. A Honda Fury is $10,600.

Where is the almost $5,000 more in the Harley's value?

You don't think the Breakout is worth the extra $5,500 buy the Low Rider. If you don't think the Low Rider is worth the extra $5,000 get the Fury.

Hell, for $5,500 OP could buy a nice used Low Rider. It's all relative.

BTW, I'm not implying there isn't $5K worth of difference ..I don't know ..it's an honest question
I could tell you some of the differences in the portable DeWalt table saw that sells for $500 and the "special buy" one at Christmas time that "looks" the same .
But don't know Harleys like I know power tools

Scratch gave me some info I was looking for

as far as comparing prices of Harley vs non, that's sorta apples and oranges .

Pricing on any product is a balance between profit margin , and market based pricing. Don’t expect to be able to figure it out. Either you’re willing to pay the price or not.

Customer: where's the $5500 difference at in a Low Rider and Breakout?

H-D MoCo: Because we said so.

Granted there may be some hard costs to explain the delta, maybe even some soft (design, etc.) costs as well but I think the majority of it is as I typed above.
