That's EXACTLY what I wanted, for years. I kept asking the HD salesmen when it was coming, they always told me it was the most frequent question they got, yet it never happened.

I think it was probably due to royalties paid to Porsche on the Vrod motor. I don't think HD wanted it to become too popular.

I remember the blond foxy co-owner of the old Huntsville Harley Davidson (AL) telling me she actually rode around on one at a dealer meeting. That had to be '82 or '83? (memory bad).

remember some years back an article in hog describing this, never made it past drawing board but it did lead to the producing of the evolution engine which was credited to saving HD.
