The sizing chart for gloves has not changed in decades. What has changed are people. The glove sizes are meant to fit lean Americans. Since the vast majority of Americans are obese and a good percentage of those are morbidly obese the gloves size you think you should wear will be very tight. Your hands have changed not the gloves.
TG, didn't you say "Im not a small guy, but,..." Just sayin

Are sayin Im fat?
The size is based upon the circumference of the hand at the knuckles. Then you look that up. The Harley chart size chart is off by at least 2 sizes.
Gloves or clothes of any size are not designed to fit most Americans. This has been one of my biggest frustrations.
This. Especially Jeans and gloves. Helmets, I have to admit, seem pretty standard.
HD gloves (and Tourmaster) seem to be just a tad small which is a pain. I am highly knowledgeable about glove sizes because I wore them on a daily basis (size 7 1/2) for many years. I have a set of LARGE Alpinestar Gauntlets (Italian) I use for the track, and I can barely get my size 7 1/2 surgical hands into them.
I also had a pair of Kevlar-reinforced Size 36 jeans from Pakistan which I couldn't even button ( I usually wear a 34), and size 10 (Euro size 44) Alpinestar track boots that I couldn't get on my otherwise size 10 feet. SIDI size 10s fit like they were custom fit for track riding, but I can't really walk in them.
OTOH, my Olympia mesh and rain suits, and my Helite vest in (L) fit perfectly for general use, and at 5'8" and 175 I'm not really a big guy.. Go figure. Bottom line is that, if you want to buy online, be prepared to send stuff back.

Of course I'm not saying you're fat. You are just too short for your weight. Actually, I use HD full fingered gloves. I'm a large in gloves and that's the size HD glove that fits me???
Does your hand look like this?

C'mon. We all know the only reason one hand is larger than the other is by masturbating excessively.
my paws are "Goldielocks" size, I guess..... aren't big or small
I just measured using info above.....10.5"
I own lots of gloves for work and play, but only one pair of Harley full gloves.
I just looked, they're size lg and on their second season.... they fit perfect
gloves in general I've found to be like shoes.
I need to try them on 'cause sizes vary enough that size 11.5 or L-XL ain't always so.
even among same brand
also leather stretches ...and the glove that's tight today, is perfect for years after break-in
