With the weather being rainy here in New England, last night seemed like a good night to install my Rockout Rocker Shaft Inserts on my 2015 Ultra Limited. The job went very smoothly. So I thought. Once I got everything buttoned up, as usual, I always I put all my tools away where they belong and discovered that my 1/4 drive 7/16" socket was missing. I tore the shop apart looking for it. Also a magnet pencil all over the bike and engine. I was glad I didn't start the engine yet. I took everything apart again only to remember at that point that I had dropped that socket while still working on the bike and it rolled under the bench an under the generator and told myself that I would get it later. Duh!!!
Anyway, picked up new gaskets this morning and buttoned everything back up. I suppose it's better to be safe than sorry, but damn these senior moments.

I've verified that at least 7 or 8 times. Harbor Freight should sell them in 6 packs.
Amazon has them in six packs, and I think I've seen bigger bulk packs but can't find them now.
I'm 71. It is amazing how good the long term memory can be, I mean damn my brain holds a lot (of mostly unimportant stuff like images of pretty wimmin from 30 years ago - "hey, I've seen that pic before")), but the short term memory has gone to ****.
