Yeah, I expected some bashing for buying China knock off. I understand and try to buy USA made but sometimes just can't convince myself to pay 5 times the cost.
You can bash me all you want but I'd be willing to bet you have bought products made in China.
Product made in China, through an international legitimate company are a whole lot different than Sunpie. What do you think “knockoff” means? They are made by a Chineese company in China using pirated technology and most likely black market (misappropriated from legitimate suppliers) parts, and child labor, . It’s time US Customs goes after these imports.
Its amazing how many people on this forum criticize Harley for importing some components for the bikes. Yet, are all on board buying “knockoff” Chinese parts once they own the bike,
if you don’t want to pay the price for HD day makers, there are other legitimate and cheaper alternatives:
VisionX, Custom Dynamics,

I had this happen on the first set of passing lamps from Sunpie. They lasted about 4 years and then one went a little wonky. They now have 50-watt passing lamps, in addition to the old 30-watt version. I put a set of these on a couple of weeks ago and have been thrilled so far. For a little over 50 bucks, if these last another 4 years, they are a bargain.

All you need to read and see is this: spelling, translation, added formatting - all scream "RUN AWAY" since this is most likely a "pirated" product. Why bother. Although they do look good.

I see they have a 7" for $270.00. Now that looks like a reasonable alternative. I would be willing to spend that for USA made.
Actually the Hogwerkz 7" Daymaker style, without the halo, is only $234.00. I ordered one, no more buzzing headlight soon. Thanks for the tip TexasScooter Trash.

I went to their website and saw nothing about "MADE IN THE USA" or anything about a warranty for their LED headlights.

Correct, customer service says the LEDs are made by Osram in Germany, but customer service would not mention where anything else was manufactured/assembled but they did say "not in the US."
I wonder if the DayMaker is made in the USA... Could be HD installs a plug on the back or does some soldering and it's MADE IN THE USA
Or, all the parts, wires, bulbs and cases could be from China and we assemble here.
Ok...Ill be good and wont mention you get what you deserve for buying Chinese knockoffs using pirated technology and components. Its not like we are supporting a communist economy that significantly undercuts legitimate products by selling pirated products, and applies the profits to developing weaponized viruses.
I should have researched a little more before ordering the Hogwerkz headlight, instead of just accepting the statement they are made in USA.
I just went to Hogwerkz site and went on chat and asked them where it is made? The lights are made in Germany, Co. is in MI.
