One of the most noticable ugly spots on a Harley, to me anyway, is the galvanized shift linkage. The chrome ones are over-priced to me but what of the chrome covers? Is this a viable alternative to the $160.00 ones or even the $90.00 plain round ones or do they just look cheesy?
I've got to do something, it bugs me as is.

My neighbor said to get the cover. I was going to get the cover for the stock linkage for $39.99 but saw the above and got that. That eagle one ran me with the Heim joints $144.00.
I was looking at the Halrey Davisdon one with the writing in Black on the chrome cover or the diamond one - they both look great on the bikes I have seen.
I just bought the chrome one...Looked at the covers, and was gonna buy one, but then the end of mine broke while riding (clip came apart) Mechanic says this has been happening more and more on the newer bikes, so I am replacing the entire thing to avoid the issue. The replacemetns BOLT on, not some cheesy little clip
Don't forget our sponsor's too.

Click on the shifter rod pic for selection. The flame shifter is on sale for $125 (along with others) and that's the one I like. I might have to move on this deal.
