Pic of the bike shows front end damage, not rear-end damage.

Glad the OP is mending quickly.

Purely speculation at this point, but if the bike is listed as Unit B but shows front end damage, it is possible that Unit A pulled out in front of Unit B, listing Unit A as the struck but at fault vehicle.

Another scenario, Unit A is the bike, the striking and at fault vehicle. Driver could have suffered a medical issue or just didn't see the truck which could be Unit B. No telling at this point, not enough to go off of yet.

Point is, the bike shows front end damage and that doesn't always mean that it rear ended something. We don't know WHAT PART of the other vehicle the bike hit.

IT never happens where I work. I had the IT guy tell me how much my 1 1/2 year old computer sucks. I found it ironic...

See, this is where a board becomes like a bunch of school friends that you would do anything for. no matter what side of the argument you are on and no matter how much we ridicule each other.

Not gettin all warm and fuzzy here. Had a situation where I rode passed a construction site and as I come to a stop light I heard a loud pop. Get off my bike and this is sticking out of my back tire. Longer than a middle finger but about the same in width. How the hell did that happen? Called the company that was doing the construction and he said many companies are doing doing construction in the area. I was prepared. From a message board I was on I asked is this bolt something used on building an elevated train. Some guy in construction said it's sometimes used by sinking it in concrete so a sign could be bolted to it. That's all I needed. I had driven passed the site again and there they were. So I said. I found that same bolt in your concrete barriers. I just need someone to see it with me and to escort me to the site. That means taking someone's time and he says is it just for the tire. I said record this. I said no one was hurt, I don't need a rental car, I just want a new tire mounted. Done.

I don't need x-rays. Since I'm an anonymous internet expert facts just get in the way.

Deadman77 hit another vehicle.
Flew into, then over handlebars fracturing his pelvis and lacerating his liver. Very common in motorcycle front-end collisions.
His wrists were broken by his handlebars as he braced against the impact.
He was wearing a helmet, and traveling about 25mph either east or west, so the sun ruined the view of either him or the other driver.

I wish you a speedy recovery Deadman77

Any MC accident that you can report on yourself means you lived; that's the main thing! The bike looks rough, but may be salvageable. No matter, I'm especially glad that you're healing. God Bless you. Get back on when you feel like it and call it a win.

Back in 11, I was hit head-on by a truck. When friends called to check in on me, I used to tell them "well, I got a broken pelvis so I don't walk too good, I have internal injuries that require wearing a bag to pee in, I have bruises in places I didn't even know you could bruise, I've got a bike nobody will ever ride again, but I'm here and able to complain about things,- so I ain't complainin'
BTW, I was riding again 2 1/2 months later! This year, I suffered a mild stroke in February. And guess what, I'm sriding again! Keep on getting back up!

Glad you're "OK" and still amongst us!
