I'm glad I stayed with my '06, only the Dyna's changed in '06 with the 6 speed and new style TC88 engine and 02 sensors, so why would you use 2005 and back as the starting point. All the other models still had the original TC88 and 5 speed.
Everyone and their "my bike is best and everyone else's sucks" opinions. You know what they say about opinions...They're like @ssholes...everyone has one and they all stink. It's a fu(king Harley, who gives a ****. Quite bitchin' and ride it. If it breaks down, get it fixed.****, it's like I'm playing Harley's with my brothers' kids or something...nerve rackin' sons-a-bitches.
I've never been one to have to upgrade to the latest and greatest. I bought new in 04 and again in 05. Still have both bikes, but if I was looking for my first, I'd have no problem with getting a new one...

I re-read this thread and didn't see where anyone had this opinion. Maybe their bike is the best for them, or mine is the best for me, but not the best for everyone.

I sure didn'tsee where anyonesaid someone elses bike sucked. All I read is that most folks like what they have. I know I like my 05 Deluxe. Hub and I rented bikesin Florida last winter and I rode an07 with the 6 speed, didn't like it all that much seemed like I was always having to shift gears.

I don't have anything against the newer models, they have to be there. But I think I will just stay with my 2000 until the wheels fall off. Then I'll fix it and ride it some more.

That's the way I look at mine. I guess the days of doing this are pretty much gone, or are they?
I'd be happy to have my 67 shovel back, it did everything my 05 does except shift into 5th gear. Cool factor isn't there any where near the 67.Guess I'm getting old.
