A nice little 150 miler today. Trying out a set of NGK R2525-10 racing plugs. Side gapped at 0.030". I did a similar ride, in similar conditions, yesterday, running NGK DCPR8EIX plugs normally gapped at 0.040". My butt dyno felt that there was a little more juice, and better throttle response, but that could be the placebo effect. She did pick up about 4 mpg today vs. yesterday. Over the next few weeks, I'll know if they average better mpg. I'll be able to tell if there has been any performance increase as well. I know Reaper VERY well.
Today was my last day of a week off so despite the heavy rain all day, I went for a 65 mile ride on the country roads. I figured its good practice for when we hit heavy rain on our annual trip as besides that, I dont ride too often in rain unless its a quick pop up storm. Today I learned, it still sucks to ride in wet cold weather but better than a day in the office.

Haha. Understand that but I also have a 3 year old and it is rare I have a day off and he is at daycare so I had to take advantage.
A local PGR mission with an escort of 6 miles. But it was freakn hot, and the hearse driver was driving like she was going to a funeral. Seriously though..we were in the lead and even at 12 MPH, the coach kept falling way behind. And it was freakn hot!! Did I mention how hot it was. Unusually hot for the area, and especially for this time of year. Yeah it was hot. Slammed my 2 water bottles and was stsrting to look at the water running in the gutter. Anyhow about 20 miles overall to honor a Marine that reenlisted in the Navy. Achieved the rank of Commander and was working on his PHd, before passing of cancer at the age of 54. We were honored to help to honor this hero.
