Year and model would be helpful here.

Is this a TBY setup? FI? Carb?

Cable operated can stick because people want to lube the cable with something that is to heavy or thick and cold winter brings this on. Another thing that can happen is the throttle assembly can be push to far onto the handle bars and that makes it stick.
I would take it apart and clean the handle bar and the inside of the sleeve real good. Maybe even spray some carb or brake clean down the cable and then relube using a very light oil or something made for just that project. Good Luck !

I’ll field all the questions together
1. Discovered it cleaning the front end with the snow blowing against the door. It’s in an unheated garage so the 25 degrees is the worst she has been in. I’ve had it a year with zero throttle sticking so I’m hoping it’s just the cold weather
2. It’s a 2000 FLSTC 32K
3 I’m sure it could uses some lubrication, cant see it being the sleeve rubbing on the bar, don’t think that would have happened overnight.
Couldn’t resist listening to her purr today since putting her away. Little enricher, two twists on the grip and off she went. I let her get up to 200 degrees before I shut her down. After getting warm the throttle was returning halfway unassisted.....maybe she likes the summer
Going to try hardheaded’s lube suggestion too
Thanks guys

A carbed bike and the answer about the lube on the cable has thickened up from the cold sounds the most reasonable. My bikes have in an unheated garage since our latest deep freeze hit us and as tempting as it is I don't run the bikes at all in the garage, if I can see my breath from the cold the bikes don't start unless I can ride for a half hour. And that's not happening when it's 15 degrees and snow all over the roads.

Cables that are both too tight can bind the throttle as well. Make certain that each cable has the correct amount of slack.
