Anybody have any good advise ,(do's & don'ts ) on shipping a motorcycle? I was told to use "Forward Air" shipping company. Has anyone used this company before?
Thanks,
Frank
Harley has a shipping service on their website I remember seeing (or it was the HOG site).
I just packed my bike out for transport back to the states, the one thing I did was to go to the dealer here and get an original HD shipping crate for my bike.
Lesson learned: The bottom part of the crate/pallet is good (metal if I rem correctly)however the rest of the crate was cardboard.
The moving company put the HD crate in a wooden crate and it worked out well.
I used Allied Van Lines to ship my Road King from Naples, Fl. to central Ky. After making the arrangements I was able to contact the driver directly and we met at a truck stop near my house.
