That's ok, those of us that get email notification of "replies to thread" saw it. Some of us are probably older than you.

If you are older than 72 then you have me beat.
You know, it takes a lifetime to be comfortable in your own skin and not try to "profile" with all sorts of icons, slogans, "lifestyles", etc. in an attempt to be somebody to other people. Whenever a person realizes this, then he doesn't need artificial icons of personality, snarky remarks, or etc.
My post was just a word to the wise. If there is no wisdom, it falls on deaf ears which stirs wrath.

Loved chrome wheels when I was kid too, and still do today
If I wanted to be up with the trend, I'd need a rattle can of flat black krylon...
Prob'ly have to buy new boots too, 'cause the Wellington style I've worn for over 40 years ain't what the cool kids are wearing these days

I hear what you say but see irony again. What does a western hat and carhart jacket say about your "profile"? That you're attempting portray a cowboy "lifestyle" to others? If someone wants to wear something branded "Harley" good for them. All it means is they like what they are wearing. I would rather see someone wear something they like, than hear some one slam them for wearing it.

I'd offer an opinion here, but I have one of those "Motorcycle Rubber Ducks" on my handlebar.

If Harley were to come out with a collection of this, I swap out the #1 skull stuff I have in a nanosecond.

Same here. I started going bald my senior year of high school. By 25, I was starting to look like Friar Tuck, I hated it so much, I shaved my head bald. That was 1996. I've had the shaved head and goatee ever since. The past few winters, I've let it grow out to a full beard.
Anyway, my first Harley, a 2004 Road King Classic, had the Willie G skull stuff on it when I bought it. Derby cover, timing cover, and air cleaner cover. I didn't mind it, at least not enough to be bothered to change them out. I wouldn't have bothered to put them on, either, so there's that.
As always, different strokes for different folks. RTLLTR, Willie G skulls, flames, chrome, blacked out, metal flake paint, everyone either loves it or hates it. Everyone has a color preference, too, so how one decides to bling out their ride doesn't faze me either way.
