Default Suggestions on Long Stem Mirrors

I'm considering getting a set of black long stem mirrors for my 1200S Sportster. It has the stock low profile bar. I didn't get the stock long stem mirrors (kinda ugly anyway) with the bike so I put on a standard set of HD mirrors which give me an excellent view of my elbows. I'd like a longer stem without the bike looking like Dumbo. I've located a few sets on the web. Drag Specialities seems to have a decent set.

Any suggestions, advice, photos, etc. would be appreciated.

I've thought about flipping the mirrors but does that really give you a better view or is this mod primarily for looks? Also I don't think there's enough space for tank clearance on a full turn.

Thanks!

Flipping the mirrors is a free way to see if you like them. It really depends on if it will help you see better of not, it's not just a "looks" thing to lower the mirrors. One of my bikes has higher mirrors, one I lowered. Both give me perfect function without sacrifice.

So you your case, flip them and see if it works for you.

Default Long Stem Mirrors

Harley makes a kit that mounts to the base of your current mirror stems. It essentially creates a longer stem. The kit is a cheap easy solution, without having to spend more on new mirrors.
Just a suggestion..
