you are on a first name basis with your garbage man?
Yep Both. Ralph is my Garbage truck driver, George is my recycler. Both nice guys and unhurried out here in the sticks. I've always tipped them for their good service. I have an extra (large) G can, and after parties Ralph gets an extra $5.00 for dumping that one.
They both wear Hi-Vis jackets but drive those monster Garbage trucks. I don't think they're worried about collisions with bikes, they'd just roll right over the top. BFI put gps units on their trucks, so most chats end in 15 mins or so. Nice guys like I said.
Dickey you really should wear pants when you ride. And my professional optometric opinion is blue and black jackets won't help you much when the 83 year old with cataracts, turns in front of you, because the sun is in their eyes. Any state full of senior citizens is good place for a high visibility jacket.
Dickster must have to peel his nutsac off the seat with a spatula after riding commando in that FLA heat and humidity!
(first) If I think I need to be seen I will wear a safety vest over my black leather jacket.
(second) Yes i do know my garbage man he He is a Baptist preacher that likes to play the guitar, and sing. I have had him inside my home showing him some songs that I have written, both words and music, and I think of him as a friend.
