My cage is a 2017 Chevy Volt with Adaptive CC. It's adjustment is "following distance". I can choose Far, Medium or Near. Mine will pace with the car in front of me right down to a stop, if need be. When the car in front of me starts moving I "tap" the accelerator pedal and the ACC starts controlling the speed again.

Yes, when I'm using the CC on my Ultra I do miss the pacing function of my cars ACC!

Yeah, the Moco can't even come up with an ECM to control decel pop, and you want to trust them with this?

I've thought about this for a few years... Not on a bike. I want to be forced to pay attention. Get too relaxed and you will be complacent. Auto braking works until it doesn't. Not worth it. I think the old school cruise is perfect. You still have to manage following distance and stay awake.

Just more electronic crapola to charge more money for, and make people more dependent and helpless. My ex can't even parallel park, for crying out loud.
I don't want anything on my bike that does stuff for me. I don't even like the automatic headlight on feature which is been on all bike since the early 70s, I want to decide when I run the headlights or not.
my Road King Classic has cruise control, and I used it once during the test ride before I bought it to make sure it worked. I have never used it, and never will.

Both cages, my Beemer and Toyota have ACC and I like the feature very much. I think it will be a good feature on a bike for some folks. Im not a technophile bit Im no technophope either.

We have it on our Acura MDX, and I love it. But, I wouldn’t want it on a motorcycle. I want to control when it accelerates. For example, if you have it set to 70, and someone pulls in front of you, it will slow down, and match their speed at a following distance I select. Then when they pull out of the lane, the car accelerates back up to 70 as long as another slower car isn’t in the control zone. I wouldn’t want my bike accelerating without me being the one initiating it.

Same here, my Corolla has it and it's horrible I wish I could turn the adaptive part off. It brakes going down hill for heaven sakes! And brakes far too early coming up on another vehicle. I know two people who recently bought leftover 2020 BMW's instead of 2021 just to not have adaptive cruise.

Some manufacturers do a better job with ACC than others. I think Chevy did a good job with it on my Volt. I have heard other brands it's herky/jerky and not very smooth.

What I like more on the new Ducs is the blind spot monitoring radar. Initially thought it a gimmick on a car but grew to appreciate it. A second opinion before I change lanes is goodness, especially on a bike. Just one man's opinion.
