I don't get it, I guess. The Maltese Cross is widely seen on HD and custom bikes. It has ties to the ****'s, as well. I understand you being offended, but, I would want to know why this shop has decided to disply this. If you are really upset about it, let them know why. Maybe theyneed toknow why they offended you, and why you would choose to do your business elsewhere. Perhaps the shop works on a consignment basis, and they didn't build the bike. I don't know, I guess I just don't get it. Sorry.
Anyone who displays **** symbols, in that manner,or supports those who do, is scum.
My Country, the USA, fought a war to eradicate ***** and many of our troops died for that cause.

You may be "shocked" by this relatively common use of symbolism in the biker world, but you also expose the fairly naive nature of your belief system. I am proud your parents/parent raised you with such high ideals. Mine did the same. However, that high minded knowledge and wisdom is held by onlya very small percentage of the worlds population. We in the USA do not realize this because many of the people who think as you, live here and you are used to being around them. The rest of the planet is dominated by individuals who only respond to deep seated cravings for money and power. As an example, in most areas of he world (mexico included) bribery gets you much better results than following the rule of law. Your emotional, visceral reaction to the viewing of a particular geometric shape can be seen as a good thing and also as a weakness. Do not give it the attention that you seem to be giving this incident and it will cease to have power over you. Continue to focus on it and it will have the desired result of controling you. Just move on with your life.
First, I don't think I own a single thing with any ties to the ****'s. I was just stating that I would tell them why I was offended, and see what they had to say about. BTW, our country, the USA, has a little thing in the bill of rights about freedom of speech and religion. Again, I don't support this type of mentality, but they do have a right to think whatever they want. And, as offended as he was, until he saw the ss symbol, he was happy with the way he was treated at the shop.

what's the difference with the Iron Cross on bikes or jewelery? How bout skull and cross bones? All can be associated with the Reich. Does that mean that everyone that has a shaved head is a skin head or part of the Arian Nation? I think your sensitivity button has been turned up a little.
You're right about the skull and crossbones. I had totally forgot that they were worn on the german uniform. And I have a lot of shaved headed friends. They adopted the look because they are losing their hair. Should I tell them that their hair cut is offensive to some because the look was adopted by skin heads? Naw, I guess I should just let them be viewed as "scum".

Not to trivialize the topic but I am going to throw my hat in here for a comment.
As Americans we are taught the history of WWII and to loathe the Hitler and his regime for there atrocities. Rightfully so, but should we not teach people that the swatstika is also the religous symbol for Buddhism. I have been stationed here in Asia for the better part of 7 years and it still dumbfounds me how the FNG always gets his panties in a wad after he goes out in town and sees swastikas on road signs, buildings and maps.
Luckily, the intercultural indoctrination class now includes the explanations and gives them a clue before they start roaming around out in town all pissed off.
Of course a Lotteria is a fast food place here in Korea and we had someone here for over a year before they found this out. They thought it was place to buy lottery tickets.
