For me there’s and easy answer for that . If its well a known name brand gas it can be just regular gas . but if its a no name brand like WaWa . Raceway , Bj’s or Gas and go . It must premium gas only or the bike won’t like it on hard acceleration .

It's true Shell has 91 without ethanol but it comes out of a blend hose so you get an amount of low grade gas and pay premium prices.
Chevron has a separate 94 hose absolutely no ethanol and you get what you pay for every time.

And when I put regular gas in my truck I get an amount of high grade gas and pay cheaper prices if the guy before me bought premium
Where I live ALL grades of gasoline are $2 a gallon higher than the price last year. Gas was cheaper simply because demand was lower when some businesses and other things were shut down. Current prices near where I live in SW Ohio are currently 3.39 for 87 octane regular and 3.82 for premium or 91/93 octane, or a difference of 43 cents. What is the difference in price between regular gas and premium right now where you are at? I'm on a fixed income and hate the high prices but for me the extra savings to run regular in it isn't worth risking problems.
I've ran regular in it occasionally and for very short periods (only because I didn't have a choice at the time, and it ran okay, except the check engine light came on. The light went off after I put in a little regular, and it went out after I got to another station and topped it off with premium. The second time premium wasn't available I used octane booster, and the light went out that time too.
if your cel came on, and then went out, that means there is a stored code. i would pull your codes to see what's going on, and then clear them.

unless you're only buying a quart of gas, then the effect is going to be negligible.
No, it's true, I know a guy whose Brother-in-law heard about a guy that this happened to. Not to mention, I read about it on the Internet (well, it was here really, a couple of posts ago)
I bought my bike on a credit card that rewards purchases with cash back. At an interest rate of 28%, I'm really blowing and going.
My plan is to run the credit card balance up to 100k. Then I can refi my house, take the cash equity out and pay off the credit card balance. That way I have thirty years to pay it off.
Here's the brilliant part of the plan....I won't live another 30 years!

I wish we had more Chevron stations in Alberta. :-( Will have to check if they have 94 (doubtful)
