I think there is a law against that here in California... Now I wish there were a law for those Jack ***** that try to clean there windshields doing 75mph... now that makes me want stand up, drop my pants and pinch a loaf at there windshields!
(sorry for the vulgarity) it just chaps my hide when I get sprayed in the face with windshield fluid!!

There is a law here in MD to cover there loads but a bunch of them dont do it. I almost got hit by an ear of corn the other day. The farmers here load there trucks up a lot higher then the side of the truck and this time of year you see corn all over the road from it falling off. We also got a bunch of sod farmers that dont strap or cover there load and get to see sod laying in the road.

Yep, only thing to do is back waaay off. I've stopped taking a particular route to work recently because there are constantly gravel/sand trucks going the other way to a major construction project. It's a 55 mph narrow 2-lane so that sand must be hitting at 100+ mph. Ouch. Shame, too, because it's otherwise the nicest ride to work.

I was going down the road last week and a landscaping truck had limbs flying off the back, fortunately I was in my Pathfinder.
I wrote down the company name, called and bitched out one of the supervisors reminding him what that can do someone on a bike...[:@]
