Here is mine after 4 months.
It is interesting that you say you've had yours for 4 years though. I had one originally about that same time and it turned this color as well after about 6 months. They said they fixed the issue and sent me a new one last year that was pulled from engineering stock instead of customer stock and it still did the same thing.
A little off topic but Whats the advantage of moving it? Other than easier access.
Easier access, don't have to worry about getting oil on the front motor mount, and get a little cooling on the oil if you also use a finned filter as there is plenty of air flow on the down tubes.
Another fan of @DK Custom Products as their parts are solid. Sucky deal f/ your issue...
I do like their stuff. I'm using their coil relocation kit and an intake kit with an external breather. I thought about getting their oil relocation kit as well but like the hoses and mounting plate design better with 3Guyz. It may all be moot now though as no one is even picking up the phone at 3Guyz. Their website is up and selling goods though.
My 3 guys is doing the same thing. Been on for 1 and 1/2 years. I really don't care. Makes changing the filter so easy. Adds charactor to my 2006 FLHTCi.
I was able to get ahold of someone at 3Guyz today. They are still in business and said anything they've sold since August was engineering stock as well. So anyone out there with that engineering stock it will probably turn like that picture I put up. They say they are getting the only new stock for kits they've had for 4 months on the 15th after rejecting the last batch due to anodizing issues and will be testing them before shipping. Let's see how this goes.
