im in the same boat. last year we did a ton of rving, not any riding. this year i told the wife the bike will be in the hauler any time it leaves the yard.
I've been riding very intermittently since about mid March. This has been a very rainy and cool spring, so far I've racked up an abysmal 700 miles. Yesterday was a nice day to ride and this upcoming week looks cool and wet.
For those that have not had the opportunity to ride this season you're not alone.
Be patient...it will happen and when the nice weather comes make the most of it!!!
The weather has been total a$$ this spring. No long rides yet, just a couple shorter ones, an hour or less. Only ridden to work a few times so far. Spring just doesn't want to spring this year it seems. Usually we have had at least a few "teaser" days of temperatures in the 70's by now. None this year so far.
We've had a couple of good days - and I mean, just a few. On Saturday, it was around 77 and perfect weather. Was supposed to rain on Sunday - but it was only a quick sprinkle - still around 80.
My bike is being trikes - and, not yet ready. Hopefully I will have it this Friday. Weather forecast is back in the 50 next week - but, that can change.
changed the oil Saturday morning and put about 300 miles on it....did another 200 or so on Sunday
one thing you can count on, always, is for weather to throw curveballs
I never regret going for a ride, but every once in a while, I'll get out there because i know the next few days are going to be crappy weather....ride when I can
when going on road trips, weather be damned, ya either got to get there or get home and neither happens sitting next to a gas pump under a canopy
I was able to get 200 miles in on a ride in March. High winds, 30 inches of snow with two blizzards has my bike regulated to the garage. Temps in the 40's with ton of rain for the next 10 days. Looking at pushing mid may before my next ride.
