Default Road warrior fairing

I had something flew up on the road and scraped my fairing . Anyone know how to get the scratch or the scrape off the fairing ? I have scratch mark remover . Would that work?

If it hasn't been painted, then what you have is just the raw plastic. If you use any kind of plastic scratch remover it will leave the area cloudy. Then you will have to use some kind of fine polishing product with a buffer and do the whole fairing to get a uniform finish.

Take a picture of it.

what can be done to fix it really depends on the severity of the scratch. Also is your road warrior painted or just the OEM black plastic that they come in? The plastic (Lucite?) Memphis Shades uses is very soft and prone to scratching.

if it’s painted and you can catch your fingernail in the scratch forget it. Repaint time. If it’s just a clear coat scratch you should be able to polish it out. Maybe wet sanding with 2500 grit first.

if it’s still the factory finish, you can wet sand with 1500, 2000 And then 2500 grit paper to blend out the scratch and then polish it back if not too deep. And if it is a deep Scratch in the factory finish I would sand it a little with like 600-800 grit, prime and paint it to match your bike.

I’m currently in the process of painting my road warrior fairing, and I have painted my Memphis Shades Café fairing a few years ago.

It’s factory finish. Not really a scratch mite like a abrasion.
