Unhappy No Flash

Working on a friend's Bike (1997 HD Softail) , I installed 4 LED blinkers (don't know if they worked before bike been sitting since 2015) and I can't get them to flash(blink), I installed 2 resistors and still no flash , Emergency Flashers work.. I'm lost any help to solve this issue will be greatly appreciated 👍🏼
Thanks in advance.. OG .

In 1997 from factory..
Harley used 1157 bulbs in the front (duel filament).
The rear was a single filament 1156 bulb.
The front illuminated at all times on the one filament and then (lit) flashed the second filament when turn signal was activated.
The rear was off at all times but turned ON to flash the single filament when turn signal was activated.
I have no idea what you have installed but the front ones would be required to have a dual function and the rear needs to have a single function in order to mimic factory.
In essence the front would have 2 wires to provide positive + and rear 1 wire to provide positive + with frame providing ground at front and also at rear to each light on each side..
Then the system would need to have sufficient load (resistance) with LED use in order to blink.
You would need one resister at on each side at front on the signal wire (remember that the other wire is a running light)...one resister on each side at rear at the 1 signal wire.
This is all taking into consideration that a triple play or similar (run, turn, brake) module is not installed but then a red lens should have been installed at rear..
Also taking into consideration that nobody ever converted the rear to a dual filament system but then a red lens should have been used at rear

Make sure you have the correct bulbs as in above. Try regular bulbs to verify wiring and functionality. If regular bulbs work then the wiring maybe reversed. LEDs are polarity sensitive. If regular bulbs don't work have you checks the fuses, circuit breakers and verified the battery is supplying the needed current?

Hazards are a maximum draw (4 bulbs) turn signals are only 2 bulbs, so most likely the resistors. I just went ahead and bought the Custom Dynamics modules, read too many stories of problems with other methods and they were Plug N Play, no splicing, etc.

As mentioned, start with regular bulbs and go from there according to results.

This is the advice to follow.

I bought a set of those LED bulbs that flash 3 times for my brake lights on my Honda and my Harley. It worked fine in the 2004 Honda but didn't work at all in my 95 Dyna.

Turned out to be some sort of coating on the little contacts of the bulb. I hit it with some steel wool and put it in and it worked fine.
