After three weeks of crap weather I managed to get 5 hours in this Afternoon ! Mind you it was bloody cold 35-40f and a very low sun but it was great to get out. The old crotch area was really cold even with leathers on and it took a while to find the old man when nature called but it was worth it. Forgot to take the camera and there was some real good orange/red skies in the background! really kicking myself on that one. Will probally lay her up in 3-4 weeks as the Met Office are forecasting bad snow this year so roll on spring !
In the same boat here as you are. Every riding day is precious this time of year. Got out yesterday myself for about a 200 mile tour. Sure cleared my head and felt good considering it had been just about 2 weeks before that. I'll second the rolling on of spring!!!
Tried to ride today, but left the house with the 1/2 lid, and left my cold weather gloves at work, so about 7 miles, i.e. through town and back, and called it a day. Got 216 miles in on Friday as it was 60 degrees, but today, at 35-37 degrees f, sorry guys, but need my full face and thick gloves for that notion......[&o]
10 day forcast for my area: sunny/middle sixties In other words: perfect riding weather. Real sorry to hear about the weather you guys are having in the North and Northeast.
It might have been a little cold out, but at least you had a chance to put some more miles on before the bad weather sets in. Maybe you will get lucky again.

There's the bike fully loaded in the desert near Yuma (220 miles on the tripmeter/ 5000 miles odometer) with my better half, Kat, from my trip this weakend. Even fully loaded (the backpack holds more than a TourPac) it handled like a dream.
