i had one hit the leading edge, but ya, those things are hard.
I forgot my night glasses one night and got blasted in the eye by something. I literally thought i was going to wreck. It hurt so damn bad. I rode the few remaining miles on the feeder with 1 eye
Yeah, bugs, rocks, debris, etc....none of that feels good at highway speeds . Anything over 40 mph, I prefer the safety and wind/bug, etc. blocking of a full face. Slow rolls, parades, etc, I don't mind the half or 3/4 helmets.
Speaking of bugs, I had my shield cracked open one click on my NeoTec 2 because it was 100*, and a bee flew in and stung the **** out of my ear.
Imagine the fortitude it takes with a bee going apeshit in your right ear, no shoulder to pull over, to slow down and navigate a clean pull over.. It was the longest 100 yards of my life!
I don't normally wear a FF unless it is cold or raining.
Took a rock to the side of my sunglasses, I could see daylight out of that corner, it took a chunk of sunglass
Crazy shatter pattern all across the sunglasses, which I could not see while wearing them
Until I stopped & someone asked me wth happened ?
Wish I had taken a pic
Any lower or anywhere else it could have ripped my face up
You don't wear good eye protection if you don't have on a FF?
Depending on what some guys wear. Yes. I have full wrap aluminum frame shades that block 99% of everything. Got a frickin bug suck around them and right in my eye. If I had my FF on. That would not have happened.
