Yes they changed things, but they also made it a lot easier (if you take the effort). You can "subscribe" to forums. I only follow three forums here, and couldn't find two of them, but once I eventually did I hit "subscribe" on that forum. Now, when I go to "forums", those three show up at the top of the list.
