Many many brotherhoods,,,,,so few brothers,,,,a bro is earned and treasured,,,,those looking in from the outside will never understand.....

It seems to intrigue most riders in some form or another. Wonder why
Thanks, Alias. That's exactly what I meant.
No problem.
To me it's the pride, just as much as the brotherhood. I think the two go hand and hand. The club I ride with, all of us were brothers long before the club.
"When you eat the same mud and spill the same blood, your a brother."
I am not sure that you are going to get any legit patch holders to comment. A lot of misconceptions here.
There are a lot of patch holders responding to this post, mostly in PM's.
The problem is not "legit patch holders" commenting, the problem is that so many non-patch holders, never beens and want-a-beesrespond with uninformed opinions and misinformation.
If those people would just set back and let the "legit patch holders" answer the question ask, maybe they would learn some things and understand a little more about what makes up the M/C life style.

I find it hard to imagine that people would be willing to release suchpersonal information on a public internet forum, especially when thousands of unknown individuals will have 'hard copy' access to anything that might be said.
Nothing personal towards anyone, but many (including myself) consider personal information, especially information dealing with their 'lifestyle', something that should be kept confidential, and only released to individuals on a need to know basis.

So .... if patch holders can not speak freely due to possible reprisal,etc............. and non patch holders have no right to speak ( and I do understand and thought to myself "why are these folks posting"..........THEN >>>>> pull this topic and get it off !!!!!

I agree with you on this, but no personnel info was ask for and so far none was given.
To answer runnwild1; patch holders can and do speak their mind when ever they want. They just know that they are responsible for what they say.

Engraved Rebellion: Inside Bundnerbike's Glam Rock II
Ran with a club for a few years back in the UK, but wife and young kids took priority. They have a different setup over there for patch clubs. Backpatch clubs are known as "MC", while MCC denotes a "sidepatch" club. The first is your stereotypical 1%er club with all that entails. The MCC clubs are social clubs that wear their patch on their sleeve. These clubs are a bunch of guys and gals that like to ride. Family days are not unusual, barbeques, picnics, etc. Generally everybody gets along together, going to each others' rallies and parties. Just keep an eye out for a showing of rival clubs, that one can get tricky!
To start off, I am not a patch holder nor will I ever be one. I ask this question to only be informed and for my own curiosity.
Why is it a big NO NO to wear a patch on your back that says you are a part of something? I'm not talking about the patches on my back showing I was a part of a combat operation. I'm talking about some kind of club or group of individuals that like to ride together. Wild Hog style, you might say.
