Riding is a huge part of my mental health, I always get a little depressed as winter sets in. Anybody else? What do you do when it's parked for a while?
One of the primary reasons I moved from New York to California almost fifty years ago was for the riding weather. I rode in New York all year round. I just layered up and dealt with the freezing weather. But then my brother who had moved to San Francisco invited me to visit. Before I knew it I was looking for a job and found one. Since then I've ridden all year round. Because of climate change, northern California is a lot dryer in the winter than it used to be. So now we get pleasant riding weather all year round. The high temperature today should be about 60F.
Skiing, sleigh riding, stuff with the kids. It does suck not being able to ride but it does give my family the break it deserves from me being out all day on the weekends. What keeps me sane is thinking about all the places I want to go when Spring rolls around. And doing winter mods
Next big trip is a NE mountain top tour for June 2023. I've got the bones of the route planned. Just gotta dial in the smaller details. This will give me some moto therapy.
i dont stop, I can't ride in crap like this, but I was out a few days ago and I'll be out again in a few more by the looks of it...t'll be in the 40's in about week here in SE MI
Always a project or 3 on the go like this so never a winter without lots to do. I'll be riding this in the spring.

Very nice builds. I live very close to T-Twin Manufacturing and spend a lot of time in one of his warehouses, the place is loaded with all kinds of new old stock, you can go in there with a shopping cart and come out with a 56 Panhead, assembly required of course. Im gonna retire in the next year and putting something like this together is on a short bucket list, keep us updated.
I spend all spring, summer, and fall gathering parts and projects. Then use winter time to install all the parts. Not the same as riding, but do get to spend time with her.
