This might seem like a stupid question, but I just started riding about 7 months ago for the first time at age 37. I have a Harley Davidson m05 full face helmet. I am wanting to switch out the clear visor for a mirror finish visor. How do you know what visor to buy that will fit your helmet? First many HD helmets are HJC so the visors are easy to find. Replacement visors are not hard to find . Cycle gear is a good option.
I run the Active Tint one clear in low light like sunglasses in the sun. Works really well.
So, according to the harley web page it's an exclusive shell, Harley only. Seems the Killian is also an M05 helmet, but even searching that way didn't get me many results.
According to what I've read while searching, and echoing Smitty, HJC usually makes their helmets but I'm not finding much luck on the HJC web page to something matching/similar. Basically I was looking for visors that seemed similar and that hard angle on the corner from the hinge point doesn't come up on the HJC models that I saw.
A search for the M05 face shield came up with stock replacements, clear visor and the sunglass flip down visor but no other options, so I did an image search looking for HJC replacement visors similar to that one. That little square in the bottom middle on the M05 is distinctive. I didn't see anything though, not unless the HJC versions use that square as a reinforcement point for a clip or some such so it's obscured in the pictures I saw.
I'd check the inside or the lining to see if there's another Manufacturers logo/label or reach out to HJC directly and see what they say. Ask if they make the M05 and if so, what visor they'd recommend.

I just went through this , needing a new visor for my HJC . It's easy , just look for the stamp on the right side ( right ear ) , mine was HJ-17A . I did a search on Amazon and found a clear one for $60 shipped .
My search on Amazon was HJ - 17 , it pulled up a variety of visors , clear , smoked , etc .
