[sm=guilty.gif] Believe it or not we do get snow in Hawaii, but only here on the big island. "Big" ie one trip around is a good day trip. Thanks for the wimpers under the muffle of snow pack, makes me appreciate "paradise" that much more. I'll be thinking of you when I'm taking the first few miles on my Sporty in January when it finally arrives.
It's a popular favorite over here to go up to the mountain and fill your pick up with snow. Then get down to the beach and have a snowball fight... Is that gloating?[sm=devilangel.gif]

I just had to 2nd you, Harleywood, 'cause what Rusty said had me [sm=roll.gif], too! Yep, you HI men may only be able to ride so far on the Island but the "only so far" is in FREAKIN' PARADISE for cripe's sake, you lucky devils you! My friend's Uncle Igor moved to HI (he grew up in the UP) after serving in Vietnam & he can't imagine ever living anywhere else! Once you go PARADISE, you never go back, unless o' course, you're part polar bear or snow hare or penguin (like Charlie Chaplin, for instance!)....although I guess paradise is all relative!, the theory of paradisity relativity!
Speaking of penguins, that image, that one, was my fave on your list, Solorider! Don't mind if I add a couple more, okey dokey...
"In my spleen of the woods"
Last week--lounging around my apt. in the buff.
This week--shivering around my apt. in a body-sized muff.
Last week--opening any of my car doors with ease.
This week--breaking my finger trying to open the frozen driver's side door, then walking like a penguin (that's the B-side to 'Walk Like An Egyptian', by the way [sm=rolleyes.gif][8D]) over to the passenger side door, breaking another finger trying to open it but "Eureka" it opens, then crawl into my car to push open the driver's door, then walk like a penguin back around to get in to go to work.[sm=smiley22.gif]
Last week--fall asleep to the sound of the neighbor below me snoring up a storm.
This week--fall asleep to that sound complimented by the popping percussion of the electric heat. Actually, it has a sweet beat!
BeeMan, I've heard a lot about HI from Igor, checked out a bunch otherwise (I'm gonna get there someday soon! [sm=icon_rock.gif]) but I hadn't heard about snowball fights on the beach before! That's SO COOL! That's like having the best of both worlds! [sm=smiley33.gif]
My turn to have a Hot Toddie....*calls out "Hey Toddie you Hottie, I gotta have you!" [sm=helpout.gif][sm=icon_guiness.gif]* I was trying to find out why they call it a Hot Toddie when I found out that it's another name for "wassail", which is Norse for "be in good health" (You guys of the Minnesotan bethren might've already known about that Norse part, hey now!) so here's a toast to everyone..."Be in good health & have Happy Thanksgivings!"![sm=icon_cheers.gif]
