I've asked my son (27 y.o.) if he would like to take up riding. He says he likes the bikes themselves, but he sees the way people drive nowadays and says there isn't much protection on a bike if somebody runs into you. And I don't have a good counter-argument to that true statement.
So maybe he'll take it up later in life; either way it's his decision to make and I won't push him to do it.
