CAUTION - This ain’t right
Usually, it's more fun getting her out of her pants.
Yesterday, Saturday was a crappie weather day so I finally got around to fixing the leaking fork seal.
I need to make a correction from the original statement. When I added the Pro-Action front fork kit (Amazing), I also changed to chrome fork legs. I thought I had added aftermarket fork seals which came from Dennis Kirk. Well, I found the aftermarket seals still new and in my parts cabinet. After pulling the fork apart I realized these were stock HD seals. The mistake I made was with only 3k miles on the bike at that time I decided to leave the stock seals in and did not replace them. I must have damaged one during the process I assume, and take full responsibility.
I went back with NEW HD seals and Bel-Ray fork oil.
We rode 101 miles today and she ran great, the suspension front and rear is awesome and we sure love the tunes on this bike! No leaks which is a good thing. I’m planning a SS1000 on this bike soon with a buddy.
