Rattling noise found!!
I found the source of a rattling on my bike. It seams I have lost both nuts that bolt the front exhaust flange to the engine and the exhaust flange was rattling.
Can anyone tell me the size and thread pitch of the exhaust stud for an '07 Wide Glide? I removed the stud and it has a course threadon the engine side, and a finer thread that the exhaust flange nut threads on.

I figured it out. The exhaust studs are 5/16" with the part threaded into the engine being corse thread and the other end being fine thread.
Went to the hardware store this afternoon and got what I need.
I just need to check these occasionally untill they stay tight.

5/16 nuts will work, but the flange nuts from HD are locking type nuts and only about 35 cents each from a dealer
you must have had one hell of an exhaust leak too...............

I think I'll have my girlfriend check my nuts for me tonight.
She has smaller hands and can reach around the pipe to check them for tightness.
