Washed and waxed my bike today, while wiping it down I noticed that the chrome on the rocker box cover is starting to bubble up... Its only in one spot on the left side where it meets the head, wont belong before it starts flaking off, is this common? I only have 3000 miles on the bike(I know, but I only get to ride on weekends or holidays)... There are a few other minor things that I will let the warranty take care of, so I'll show them this too... Also, I do not have a garage so my bike is outside all the time, but I cover it, could this be a factor?
I think harley has gone to a cheaper chrome plating than in the past, as I see this a lot.
Show it to them and tell them the story of miles. Can't hurt, maybe they'll fix it.
