Oddly enough, it appears to me that the 2024 Touring Harleys are starting to look more like Indians in terms of styling. When I look at the shape of the new saddle bags, the new fairing and fuel tank, plus a tv screen instead of actual gauges, I can't say I care for the direction they are going in.
.
Well maybe a little in styling with the Street Glide but there isn't too much you can do to the batwing before overlap occurs. Remember Harley was first so they are not copying. All the other batwings are derivative works. Plus can we all admit, a Road Glide in any form has never been as ugly as the Challenger. Indian has some odd choices but comparing these two bikes the most obvious misstep Indian has is the black trim on the top fairing. Harley's additional black trim looks integrated while Indian's looks bolted on and worse an afterthought.
Though to be honest I do wish Harley would copy Indian more in quality of life features namely remote locking bags and adjustable windscreen; heck BMW and Honda offer both at the same price point and then take the suspension game much further.
Hey , Alls I know is with each year that passes I keep seeing more and more Indians on the road and at bike rallies. So they are definitely making a dent in Harley Davidson. Bottom line at the end of the year. And it might NOT be very much , but its just that little bit that Indian grows each year that will make a big difference 5 or even 20 years down the road .
Youre grasping at straws. I dont see many Indian tattoos on the road and at rallies.
I looked really hard and I can't find anything I like about the look of that bike. Too much bodywork closing everything off, no doubt it's all plastic. The fender lamp is a fail as is the tank badge. The lowers don't make sense and satin paint never did anything for me on anything, bike or car. The whole bike just looks cheap with bad styling. Im not usually one to take the time to bash a bike but I was just so moved by that picture I couldn't help myself.
This week starts Daytona, bike rally, right
Lets ask the guys that are at the bike rally in Florida if they’re seeing any Indians roaming the streets .

Man does look like a big *** scooter doesn’t it? But I will say when it come to bad Color choices and have to pay a up charge for them Harley definitely wins the trophy . When speaking of Terrible colors choices .

The United States has it rough because the monetary system is coming to an end as the global currency .
tent .
Of all the things for harley to worry about to pick up sales, this is 99999 on the list.
I miss the simple touring bikes, price and models. No chrome. No FLHR, you have to buy the fancy model. No cheap sportsters. Though you do have fair priced used market to get people into harley. Some people want to buy a new bike. The sportser S, while maybe worth the cost, is expensive.
I don't know if Indian will ever boom. But I sure do here people talking about how they have nice features. Now with harley you have to pay for a second key. It is like they hate their customers.
