2002 hasn't been all that long ago, I was talking, maybe longer than that, well I don't really know so I'll just shut up on that 
, but I do know if they aren't installed the proper way they could whine a little but I've not heard any, you also gain hp due to the fact that the tensioners are not creating drag on the chains, the mech. that installed my freinds say's you can't hardly turn the chains but you can freespin the gears, so thats got to help.

Mine has a 514 S&S cam kit, valves, lifters, springs, etc. Definatly a power boost but the gas mileage went into the crapper but it does alright. I am averaging about 35-40 mpg.
One thing is for sure out here in the sticks I definatly cannot pass up a gas station or every time I ride in a group I am always checking when we stop.
It does ok in traffic, about what you would expect with a hot cam.
