I almost got a real shitty tool at a garage sale, but I caught myself. After I paid the guy 25 cents, I thought to myself, this is just too shitty and left it behind.

You need good tools to do your job, and they need to last. But also think there is some ego involved with mechanics when they buy some of these tools. And again I question if a new person should spend tremendous amounts of money, by taking out a loan on new career. So many people here switched careers.

But a man must have a vice to know he is human.

Several years ago, I bought a used Snap On HD toolbox from a seller in Colorado. It was a good deal, $700 for a top box and roller, and a pretty bike pic on the top box. I got it home cleaned it up and the drawer sliders were really rough, I called SO and they sent me new sliders for every drawer, no charge.

They do stand behind their Brand..
