Now, for the fun part. Why is my brake pedal kinda mushy now? Seriously though, it has to travel a way before it really catches..fluid level looks like it should be enough in the master cylinder..with the bike on the side stand, it's about 3/8" below the top of the master cylinder on the side that the fluid is closest to the top...if that makes any sense.
...It's harder to bleed the rear...Use a decent Vacuum pump system.
Gravity bleeding the rear won't do it like the front, even with the tricks.
would Harley put Torx bolts in the damn calipers? Why couldn't they be simple and just put a 1/2" bolt in there and be done? I'm trying to get my rear caliper off right now to change the brake pads and the head of the damn bolt is just about rounded out inside[:@]. It feels like it's never been taken off.[>:] I stripped a ratchet out on it, waiting on a bud to get here now with another..i'm afraid i'll just end up rounding the damn thing on off though. ...any ideas?
Try using proper sized tools (ie. larger ratchet). Then use a little dab of valve grinding compound on the torx bit. That'll help keep it from sliping. Then make sure you have the tools properly aligned with FIRM pressure. With that, break the torx screw loose.
Using the right tool makes alot of difference when installing/ removing a fastner.
Ever wonder why a Torx Plus Driver/Socket won't fit on a Torx screw/bolt, but a Torx Driver/Socket will fit on a Torx Plus screw/bolt?
Its because the Torx Plus has a deeper sidewall grip area.(It's meatier)
Even though a Normal Torx tool will fit the Torx Plus, it will not have the same ability to exert Torque to the fastener without damaging it.(You are applying force to onlya portion of the overall grip area)

Wow I must'a ran across bunch of tool salesmen. Here we go..
Kensim - Did you even read the thread? Obviously not.
mrbadlands - It was a Husky, 3/8" drive..plenty enough for the job.
SteelCityScooter - You don't have to make the font so big and bright that Ray Charles could see it..I have good vision..thanks for a good reply though.
detailer03 - If you have money to burn buddy, that's good for ya. Myself, I can't go buy a $15,000 - $20,000 fully stocked Snap-On toolbox. You obviously didn't read the thread either, or you would have saw where I said that I couldn't get it out with a pair of vice grips because of where it was at..or were you meaning if I mess up the fastener, to buy a new bike?
All i'm saying is that it would have been so much simpler for US (people who work on their own) if they would have just used a regular bolt. Don't need special tools or anything.
