I want to do a tw37 cam, I want to find a set of good twim cam 95 pistons and have them sent with jugs, heads and intake to a good machinest. I have been looking aroundbut cant find what would be the best reasonably priced piston? and who does reasonable priced machine work who got a flowbench and experience? Any help would be much appreciated. also i keep hearing about small block charlie on ebay but i dont have much info on them
I have had SE pistons, Ross and now im using C/P pistons, which I think are the best of the best.
the SE cast pistons are cost effective (125$)and probably fine for most appications.
The forged pistons are more $$$ BUT its cheap insurance for a long life, relable engine.
I live in LA and Branch heads always come up in conversations, they offer a sport/touring head job for around 650$ and they have a flowbench for accuracy in porting.
I bought a sport/touring complete 95 in kit from Head-Quarters and exhanged my parts, quick and easy!
around 130$ for jug boring and 360$ for pistons and rings.
Gatto's Harley..Pittsburgh,, PA. The tech there builds motors for a top team. He's.Not cheap ,,,But he will turn ya on to some good tech stuff and pricing..If you can get to talk to him???
Food for thought......I have a used set of SE95" 10.25 to 1 CR pistonsand Woods TW6G cams I'd let go cheap if your interested. In my old build these parts along with a street port on the heads and a few other items made 96hp and 112 ft lbs torq.
