I don't know when it happened, but I can tell you that my 09 Road King Classic had the stems in the center of the rim. Total PITA to get at that back stem.

And yes, those extension things do make it a little easier.

Can't answer your question, but 2014 Ultra Limited has stems in the center, so if there was a change, before then I'd guess.

Sounds like its that style of wheel, whatever its called. My 14 flhtk has them in the center. I went to check the air in the wing and was shocked to see the 90 degree stems. So simple and stupid, but so nice.

Front has not been an issue, have a 45 degree on the rear until last tire change. I did not have new ones with me so I got standard issue center on the rim reach up and cuss Harley valves now. I’ll probably go 90’s next time in the rear as they are now way more available.

Well, we know 2007 wasn't it. A person could say, 2008 or 2009 was this or that. I don't think it is beyond reach, or even a heavy lift for most of us.

So 2008 or 2009 was when it changed?

It's a conspiracy between the MoCo and Dunlop. If it's too hard to check and fill your tires, you give up and just replace them prematurely.
