Default Thread Lock Question

Hey, when you guys use either the blue or the red thread lock on your bolts, do you let it dry before insertion or do you screw it in wet? Is there a proper way? Sorry if I got you excited.

screw it in wet..it'll act as a lubricant on the way in...then let it set for an hour

I like to wet a full thread just to be sure( just grab it by the head and spin it while applying) Loctite isanaerobic . Be sure the fastener is clean as well as the thread its engaging .

Loctite isanaerobic .
Which means "dries in the absence of air" in case the question comes up!

You Are Correct Sir !
I've had occasions in the past where just a drop wasn't enough to seal out the airfor it would cure .
Always give it a full circumference of adhesive anymore .

Its funny this thread came up as the bike wouldn't start today .
Its been a terrible year for me tohave time to ride so I thought dead battery .
Nope negative cable to the frame had vibrated loose . Out comes the blue loctite .
I must have forgot about it when I last changed the battery .
