I got full 6 years out of the last one, quite possibly would of went 7 as it was starting the bike fine the first few rides this year.
i only replaced it for peace of mind
I figured after such a good experience with the first one, saw no reason to change up
Denny, I put a bike master lithium in my 06 FXST and 7 years later it's still going strong. It's a lithium and because there's not really any drain on older bikes it's been great. I think it would be a good choice for your 01. I wouldn't recommend lithium for a Touring bike or anything within the last 10 years or so.
wow I see they're 250 now so they really went up. I think I paid 125 or so. But if I get another year out of it that's pretty good

Thanks for the Tip , but 250 Bucks is 2 much for me.
Needed a battery while on a road trip...bought a NAPA, made by DEKA, the same manufacture as HD batteries.
It is 2 years old and I brought it to NAPA for a CCA (cold cranking amps) test...they said it was 536 which caught me by surprise as the battery isn't rated that high.
I then went to Car quest for the same test, they said battery was 553 CCA.Guess I can't complain, battery was 180.00
