***Record Breaking Attempt
For those unaware, In 2021 I rode my 2021 Road Glide Limited 100K miles in 100 consecutive days. Tons of documentation and certified by the IBA (Iron Butt Association). Still have the bike with over 230K miles on it currently!
I am now attempting to smash that record! I have a lofty goal in mind, but for now will just say it's going to be 101K+. I'm actually on day 6 as I'm typing this.
I left Wednesday from Houston headed to West Virginia to hunt down all the Almost Heaven swings. Tons of twisty roads, and rain so it took longer than anticipated, but I got all 39 completed minus 1 that is closed and unavailable at the moment.
Back to the ride - I'm doing 101K+ in consecutive days. Obviously the average will be 1K/day, but I won't be doing exactly 1K each day. There will be some 800 mile days and there will be some 1200 mile days, but absolutely miles will be done every day.
Big thanks to Harley for providing a new bike for this undertaking.
for the naysayers, here's how the ride is documented. I run 2 live trackers. Spotwalla which shows my track, but typically runs about 10-15 mins behind. Then I also run US Fleet tracker which is live and real time so you can see my location 24/7. I take a pic of EVERY gas receipt beside my odometer. In 2021 I had almost 500 receipts and only missed 2 on the whole ride that were at gas stations that were closed and pump did not print. Every receipt is uploaded in the Spotwalla track for anyone to view.
I return to my hometown dealer for service/tires every 10K miles. For those still saying there's no way, all I can say is to just come ride with me then! Round up 10-12 friends and rotate in and out riding along with me.
I don't just cruise the highways, I get out and see stuff, lots of backroads, lots of dirt roads, and everything in between. It's truly an epic journey and I try to keep it entertaining. I'm on social media daily interacting with people.
The ride is for charity, but can't really mention it here per the rules. You can follow me on FB and IG (hops_adventures) to see all the details. You can also check out my book from my 2021 ride available on Amazon title Thunder Across America- 100000 Miles In 100 Days.
I have the links to both trackers, but don't think we can post links here. Otherwise if someone says it's ok, I can post them. You can easily find them on my social media though.
There's actually 2 other guys out here now also trying to break the record. One from MN going for 120K in 120 days. He's doing a 5000 mile loop and just staying on the freeway. Another guy is riding and Indian and is currently in day 38 I believe and is going for 125K in 125 days. Both of these guys have committed to 1000 miles each day, not just as a total. But I'm opting to just go for a total and get out and see things and make it an adventure.
Sorry for long post, just trying to address as much as I can upfront in hopes thread doesn't go sideways again! Hopefully you follow along this journey and see some epic stuff on an epic ride!

I post regularly about what's going on.
Be safe and have fun! I'll keep an eye on the map and try to link up again. It would be great to bust out a SaddleSore with ya later in the trip.
Just reading your post and thinking about another endeavor like you're taking on makes me tired.
I followed your trip last time and found it very interesting and will try to do so again for this trip.
Godspeed Mr. Hopper and I hope your new bike and the weather works in your favor!
Honestly. I can't even comprehend this, one thousand miles every day! I can honestly say I've never even ridden (or driven) 1000 miles in a single day, let alone for 100 days straight!
but it got better and most came around once they saw all the proof.
would love to see a bunch a people stalk me and meet up on the road and sign my bike. I want it covered in signatures and pictures!
