Bloomberg had a article last week or week before that had stats on average Harley Dealership. I don't remember the exact numbers but the average dealer has something like 15 2006 models left over, 50-60 2007 left overs and 2008's stacking up. Cutting production and still Harley stock drops 10%. Could be rough times ahead for dealers and maybe good sales for us but I would not count on it. My local dealer still has 12 2003 Vrods in his back storage area.

They are still building new dealerships.
Remember if it gits too bad they can sell to a foreign country. The foreigners are like VW. this is our price, buy it or go somewhere else.

Ventura H-D is offering $2-2.5k off some of their tarted up '07s. There are still a lot of '07s unsold at many of the dealers here in my area. With the 'improvements' on the '08s, moving the '07s at MSRP will be tough.
